Students engage in “Day in Business” at Hudson High School

Hudson High School Teacher Betty Banks-Burke is club advisor and Carolyn Konefal, President of the Chamber, and the Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce support our Club financially and with their expertise.

On November 5th, the Hudson High School Business Club hosted its second annual “Day in Business.” The event was held in the auxiliary gym at the high school from 10:30 am – 2:00 pm. Twenty six local businesses participated by setting up booths to showcase what they had to offer. The objective of the event was to educate students and create awareness of the businesses within our community.

Students and faculty attended throughout the day, interacting with representatives of each business, sampling their products and learning about their experiences with running a business.

Students in the HHS Business Club spent months planning and orchestrating the event, which was a resounding success. Among the exhibitors there were numerous Chamber members, including: Maui Wowi, Village Dental, Beef O’Brady’s, Hattie Larlham, Revolution Fitness, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Off Main Street Salon, Nicky Nicole, Hershey’s of Hudson, Marcelita’s, Janet Rhodes Fair Trade and the Hudson Chamber of Commerce.
